Hello Friends,

It's 2:00 AM and I'm still wired from our concert in Ft. Myers. It was a balmy, breezy night right there on the bay where we hooked up with our pals Lynyrd Skynyrd, who are on such a roll right now it feels like 20 years ago all over again. This band was so in charge when they played the tribute to "Southern Rock" at this year's recent Grammy Awards Show that they had me up on my feet cheering in my own living room. It's inspiring to see another band so dedicated and so not living in the past but still chomping at the bit to get be the game.

Michael Cartellone stopped by our bus for a visit as soon as the Skynyrd bus arrived. He's such a good guy it's impossible to think of him as a visitor. He just knows how to hang with a band on a bus, and I suppose by now he should be quite good at it. It was nice to catch up and hear some Cartellone stories.

Rickey Medlocke came by as well and it was great to see that boy too. He's such a star, 24/7. It's just who he is. He's going be doing some acting in a couple of Billy Bob Thornton films this year and I think we'll all be looking forward to seeing his face on the big screen. He's a natural.

Soon we were taking the stage for our 90 minute set. The sliver of a moon could have very easily been a full one tonight in Ft. Myers. It was a rockin' crowd who pushed us from note one to the final bow and we ate it up. It all ended way too soon and before we knew it we were back on our bus heading for Orlando.

Here's to our friends in Skynyrd and to all of you who were there to make tonight another big one in the book of STYX.

See you in Orlando...

TS
