Yesterday in Lichtenvoorde at the Arrow Festival, I let Steven know that we recorded his "Find the Cost of Freedom" on our new CD. We'd just finished our set and they were just arriving and up next. Steven gave me a copy of his new solo CD, "Man Alive" which I loaded into my iTunes and enjoyed on the way out of Holland. I gave him a copy of Big Bang Theory" in return.

Crosby, Stills and Nash are such a part of my musical vocabulary and even though I have met and been around Steven and Graham over the years, it is still hard for me not to feel star struck whenever I see them. I had never met David Crosby until yesterday and I had to tell him my "I used to sit around and smoke weed and jam on acoustic guitats with my buddies after school and try to get through "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" story. I know he's heard it all before but at that point it was me meeting a legend and unburdoning my soul, irregardless of his response, which was very good by the way. He said "That's a hard song to get through..." Every so often I go total blubbering geek when I meet someone who has me by my past. The last time it happened it was when Todd, Taylor, Jeanne and I met Van Morrison in his dressing room at the Wiltern Theater several years ago. Frankly, it's a great feeling. I love it.

Rock on, CSN!
