Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw will release a bluegrass album entitled The Great Divide on March 22, and to celebrate the release, the famed rocker will make his debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, March 26.
Shaw posted the following to Facebook on Tuesday:
Well THIS is cool. I am proud to announce that I will make my debut on The Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, March 26! Join me! There are two shows that night! One at 7, and another at 9:30! And you'd better hurry, because there are some big names appearing that night, so tickets won't last!
The Great Divide will be released on digital, CD and even vinyl formats. The album features collaborations with Brad Davis and Gary Burr, and guest appearances from a range of Nashville's finest including Alison Krauss and Jerry Douglas. Fans can hear several tracks and pre-order the album at its official website.
