The Federation of Gay
Games is bringing Gay Games VII to Chicago in 2006. The games will
run from July 15th, on through July 22nd.
Chicago will welcome
thousands of athletes and spectators who will participate in this
event. The games will feature 12,000 participants, competition in 30
sporting events, nightly medal ceremonies featuring entertainment,
pageantry and a parade of participants from more than 70
countries.
Chuck was asked to be an Ambassador to the Gay Games
VII. "Im honored as a gay man, whose roots are based in Chicago, to
be asked to be a part of the Gay Games VII. It will be an exciting
moment in the gay community of Chicago to host this glorious event"
said Chuck.
Chuck has worked on behalf of the GLBT community
through performing and speaking about human rights for all. He is
very active within the gay community as a spokesperson for The Human
Rights Campaign's "Coming Out Project" along with his relentless
commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and education.
Chuck joins the
growing list of athletes, artists, activists and celebrities supporting
this momentous event. |
