Saratoga Springs

Last night, after the 15th show of the tour in Saratoga Springs, Dennis DeYoung commented that "The tour has taken on a life of it's own, and all the elements have come completely together. We are loose and playing with ease..."

--Backwards Subliminal Messages... "James Young", the one accused of perpetrating the backwards Satanic messages on past STYX songs, could only comment, "II trap stih tsitaerg xyts yub!"

--Fashion Statement... Fans Shawna and Kathy looked like part of the show from the front row in Hartford Sunday night. "I couldn't put my finger on it for a while, until I realized they had come dressed in a red zippered jacket, black and white horizontally striped shirt and black skirt--Just like Dennis", Tommy Shaw observed. "Well, Dennis' outfit came with pants, of course", he added...

--Can't Get Enough... There is a growing contingent of fans who are appearing at every single show. For fan Naoko, who began following STYX in her native country, Japan, last night was show #10. "She knows the show as well as we do," observed Chuck Panozzo...

--So Much For Blending... James Young is the one to look for if you are trying to spot the band in America's airport terminals. He stands head and shoulders above most people, with the long blonde hair and strange looking shades, and with the cellular phone to his ear doing the day's rock interview, he's hard to miss!

--The other night in Milwaukee, a familiar face appeared in the line at the post-concert "Meet and Greet". As Todd Sucherman was looking up to smile at the next fan and to personalize the 8 x10 he was holding, he exclaimed, "MOM!". She had sat out front for the whole show and was now having her first experience backstage with STYX and was as proud as a mother could be, and she wanted an autograph of her son, the rock star!
