26-Jun-96 -STYX spent the afternoon in Atlanta, rehearsing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. "There was not a dry eye in the house when the orchestra began the overture," said Tim McGrath, from STYX'S management office. "It is really not a stretch, if you think about it," observed Rudy Schlagel, ASO producer. "Styx music is already quite orchestral and this merely takes it to the next level," he explained. Styx friend Ron Berkel, is flying a dozen or so close friends and industry folks from Los Angeles on his private jet, and "the evening promises to be well worth the trip," said organizer Bob Procop when we spoke to him in Beverly Hills by phone on Wednesday. They will be among the many folks who were able to score tickets for this one of a kind show this Saturday evening in Atlanta at Chastain Park. |
