Hello Washington State!
WESTERN WASHINGTON FAIR
PUYALLUP, WA
SEPTEMBER 17, 2004
Hello Friends,
Is this a great thing to see outside your hotel window? Volcanically
chilling if you ask me.
We're in Tacoma this morning and we'll be heading to the gig not far
from here this afternoon. Can you believe it? Rain is a possibility?
Here in the Pacific Northwest in September, of all things! The good
news is that people who live here accept this and are not discouraged,
so we won't be either. If they'll be there, so will we.
Last night we took our crew for a feast at a place called the Lobster
Shoppe in Tacoma. The food was superb from the first appetizer to the
last bite of dessert. Located right on the water, we had great views,
good vibes and a chance to thank our crew for the killer job they continue
to do for us in every situation we present them with. We get the glory
and the credit for a good show, but these guys start from a blank floor
and build it every day, maintain it while we work, then tear it down
and load it up again. For us, it's like going to the same place every
night, it feels so consistently like home. Bravo STYX crew!
And they caught me completely off guard by presenting me with a cool
travel amplifier by Roland called "Micro Cube." It has digital
modeling, a slew of great sounding effects, a tuning device and a STRAP!
And it even works on batteries if you can't find electricity. Now I
have NO excuse for not practicing! Thanks you guys.
We'll see our buddies REO tonight at what is sure to be a big time
Rock Show for fans. See you there...
